I just read the reviews on this from Amazon and 12 of 39 rated 2 stars or less out of five. It seems the chances of getting a leaky/defective machine are pretty high. Thanks anyway for the post.

Another 100 bucks spent!

Eventhough there is a good chance that I'll be getting a defective machine, Amazon will return it for free (I called to double-check).

Apparently these are "small batch-made products" that have "individual personalities". So it seems that once you get a good one, it'll last a long time.
 
I got in on this deal last night, at about 1AM PDT, and got my order confirmation.
When I checked back today, they raised the price back up to $299.

I thought I had gotten a great deal.

But, now I just got a note saying, "Sorry, we won't be able to fill this order, we have cancelled this item from your order".

Of course, after that item was removed, the $10 discount I used, and the free shipping on the order were now gone for the remaining items.

Screw Amazon.

The order also included a book, CD, and DVD. I'm going back to remove that stuff now.
 
I got the same 'Order cancelled' e-mail!!! I think they are playing games with their customers. I really thought Amazon would come through on this. How could they know already that they are unable to get this item to fulfill our orders? They should have at least waited the 1-2 weeks that the website stated as the estimated ship time to see if they could fulfill our orders. What can we do?

they just cancel my order, they don't have it in stock. can they do that? since it was when I bought it? Anuyone with the phone number from Amazon costumer service?

I couldn't find the number anywhere on their www site. They definitely hide it. I found the number via a google search.

I called them earlier today, right after I got the e-mail. They were not helpful in the least. I asked why there was not an opportunity to back-order the units, get on a wait list, or some other choice about how to proceed. But, they had no explanation, excuse, apology, or anything.

Their attitude was basically "that's the way it is, we're not going to do anything about it". Of course I cancelled the rest of my order, and it's going to be a long time before I buy from Amazon again.
 
F****n' Amazon!!! After all of that anticipation, telling my friends, and general giddiness, Amazon cancelled me like a bad sit-com :| I was TOTALLY looking forward to finally making my own Barista quality espressos.

If any of you, that recieved one, changes their mind about keeping it, PM ME PLEASE! I'll buy it off you (that is if you furnish the receipt: you never know when one of these is gonna bust)! 🙂

Did anyone here order one and NOT get the order cancelled?

I know some people orignally said that their order went through, but later got it cancelled. That's what happened to me.
