amazon $30 off purchase for sign up with amazon credit card

what kind of trap am i stepping into? i think its a good deal, but am not sure so i post it here in OT to discuss...

i m looking to buy 2 bluetooth headsets so a $30 off is a great deal to me?

If you want another credit card...

I actually did this and use that credit card, you get like 1% back toward stuff at amazon, and 3% back on whatever you buy at amazon in the form of $25 gift cards.

if you buy a lot from amazon its worth it, otherwise do you really want another cc and another monthly bill?

OTOH the current 10 off 50 in amazon grocery IS hot

I use mine all the time for the 1% "cash" back (as Amazon giftcards) for all purchases and 3% back for purchases directly from Amazon.

i did it, and then just cancelled the cc after awhile. you are automatically approved and can use the $30 right away.

I got one. I usually use my other card though, which gives me money back as cash instead of forcing me to buy amazon.

couldnt you just pay the card off, and never use it again?

then youd have the 30 dollar discount that one time. profit!
