I've seen Amazon's penny phone deal for new lines. My Verizon line is out of contract, does anyone know if I could still manage to get the penny price somehow?
 
Yeah just start a new line and ask to have the old number transferred. Keep in mind its technically a new contract so if you used to have unlimited data, that will disappear.
 
Can I open a new line of service with Amazon Wireless, then apply the corporate discount with AT&T? I've never done it through a third party, but would love a $0.01 SGS II plus my 20% corp discount on service. I'm not an AT&T customer currently.

im so tempted to get that RZR from verizon!!! but plans are so expensive!
guess im sticky with free company phone till i die. or get fired.
 
I'm really tempted since I've been wanting to switch to AT&T so my wife and I can use a family plan. It's a tough choice - SGS II, Skyrocket, or wait for the Galaxy Nexus and get my wife an iPhone on Verizon instead (iPhone being her only requirement).

Isn't the Galaxy Nexus coming on AT&T soon after Verizon?

I am deciding whether to get Skyrocket or wait for GNexus or maybe LG Nitro (if GNexus isn't coming soon). Wife gets a better corp discount on AT&T than Verizon and I like the rollover minutes for Family Share plan. I am in Chicago so it is an "LTE Market" now
