Amazing what you'll watch because it's in HD

I've had HDTV since last January and it rocks but you need something worth looking at... certainly not Dane Cook.

Speaking of Dane Cook, I've tried to get into his work because my gf thinks he is hilarious but I just don't see it. Makes me wonder about the gf too. 😛

dane cook is funny, nuff said, if you dont like him, you just dont get him. Some friends and i thought about this once, and decided that you either relate to and somewhat agree with what he's saying, or your lame and borring.(kidding of course, different strokes..) I guess anandtech isn't really a dane cook crowd. I dont think he's cocky either, though he has gotten a little more out there since he first came on the scene, but it's a buisiness, and thats what he sells.

LOL, i am like 20 seconds into his skit an already laughing out of control 😛

I have never laughed at one of Dane Cooks jokes... He truly does suck at his job. Most overhyped comedian ever
 
I've never been impressed with Dane Cook either. First time I watched a clip of him, his opening joke was how he hates it when he throughs a party, and people trash his house. That was it. And sure, the battling monkey thing is kinda funny, but that's just Family Guy's thing. And the whole heist thing, sure, that would be cool, and yes, get to the van is funny, but it ain't GET TO THA CHOPPA funny, no matter how loud you shout it.

And I can't understand why people like Dane Cook. I tried to watch him and he was running around like a total idiot. I couldn't even break a smile.
 
I find that with Dane Cook you either love him or you hate him, I for one love em, but anyway.

Dane Cook's CD was one of the top selling comedy CDs of all time, next to Jeff Foxworthy or something like that. I find most of his stuff pretty funny, but I'm also a Dennis Leary fan (he does a lot of yelling too).
 
Just got a thing in the mail saying Comcast is taking over my local cable company and they're offering HDTV w/ DVR, Phone and 6MB intraweb all for $99 per month!

I have Bellsouth phone, DirecTivo and no HD currently and pay a good chunk more than that as it is.

Think if I can get out of my contracts, I'll switch.

As much as I love my Tivo, I've had the Comcast HD DVR before and was perfectly happy with that also, and miss my HD TV!
