Ha, good one ElFenix.

The Saturn V picture is a depressing reminder of the capabilities that we've thrown away :(

What's the gray horizontal bar right behind titan? Is that some sort of virtual representation of it's orbital trajectory?

Just an illusion of being straight, but it's a different section of a ring (or break in the ring). Awesome picture.

I think the bar is the rings seen on edge. The blacks rings below are the shadows.

[edit] Must click on link

Remarkably thin, the bright rings still cast arcing shadows across the planet's cloud tops

I love Saturn. My favorite planet and favorite celestial object. So beautiful and peaceful looking.

Mine is Uranus

jokes aside, is this a real picture, as seen by naked eye or some infrared, ultrasound or some crap like that?

Nice pic, but for ffs NASA needs to upload 30mb pics instead of craptacular resolution.

That picture confuses me, what is the big sphere and little sphere?

The big sphere is a discontinued division of GM, the smaller one is a class of rocket that was used for everything from the Mercury space missions to the launch of satellites and space probes..

Nice pic, but since Nasa photoshops the sh!t out of their releases, I'm simply not impressed with this one.

Saturn is not in the pic though...

You have Titan and Dione and Saturn's rings in the background.

There was a remarkable picture of Titan, Dione, Pandora, and Pan, as well as the rings posted here a month or so ago. (Tis my desktop now.) Search is temporarily borked, so I'm not looking for it. :p

We need to send people to Titan. Forget Mars, Titan has water, that means we can create oxygen for settlements.

Checkout this one from the same site, "untethered space walk" as NASA calls it :)
