Fon forum reports about a 3 week delay in getting a unit.

Got mine today, WRT54GS V.4, with something called speedboost. Only problem I see is that our only wifi laptop is traveling right now so I can't do the setup (requires a wifi connection), but poking around the office looking for cheap usb dongle I think I bought.

Wifi access turns out to be very BETA.

As it is now wifi connection can't talk to LAN, just the internet. No access to local printers or filesharing.

Firmware update 2 generations from now is supposed to fix this, giving the router two SSID's so it works like it does now for fon users, and works like a normal wifi router for you and those mac addresses/passwords you create for friends and family.

i bought one a while back.. it was $25 back then, but still a hell of a deal for a linksys.. i dunno how they do it now, but when i got it, it didn't work, so i hit reset, and it reset it back to linksys' firmware.. then i just didn't change it back to the FON firmware.. i registered with fon and everything, but i've always had security measures turned on...
