I think it was a control to fly a unman plane. They use them too see stuff from above. Kinda like a eagle. I could be wrong though.

Video was sooo cool because they didn't show any of the Iraqi's get killed!!!1!1!11
It would have been so disturbing if they showed the Iraqi's getting slaughtered and maimed, good thing I didn't have to see it!

what amazes me is tthat there is NOT more footage. you would think with the amount of cameras over there it would be easy to find.

I read the paper recently and found out the first US casualty in Fallujah was a kid from my HS. Sad.

Thats what I was wondering. At first I thought it was a camera, then I thought it was an RPG launcher.

Cool video!

And I thought it was his periscope but I know nothing.

My money is on laser target painter.

Point it at something, call and airstrike, and the bombs will hit that something.

It is NOT a video camera. It is a "painting" device. GPS enabled target finder. It's basically a smart rocket launcher. Close to $200,000 a piecs IIRC.

yeap and it was YOU!

in saving private ryan they tried there best to make it as realistic as possible. Many WWII vets who watched it said it was just like re-living it.

The reason it seems "calm" is they had them pinned down. Not to mention Who they are fighting will hit and run. Where the germans were intent on takeing over everything. so they stood and fought.

Seriously.

The US has the upper hand and is the attacker. I'm sure the soldiers are jacked but its the enemy in the no-win situation. I think they would be much calmer than in a battle in WWII where the out-come is always in doubt.

Because they are under EXPLICIT orders from our Government to NOT show any of it. Remember what happened during the VietNam War when the 6:00 oclock news was full of picutres of naked, bleeding dead and dying CIVILIANS? Oh that's right, most of you weren't born then. The public sentiment changed. Notice that there are NEVER any statistics on US NEWS about civilian casualties. One has to go to BBC to hear about any of that.

i saw this footage (clips of it) on fox news.

Can you tell me why they just don't call in an air strike and wipe out that worth place. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
