She married a football player at tender age of 17.

Would you let your daughter marry at 17?

Let? At that age there is no "let" involved. You can tell them you don't approve, but that's about it. If they want to move out, get married, and never talk to you again, there's nothing stopping them.

Maybe it wasn't her parent(s) choice, what do you think of that?

I got married before I turned 18. A few months shy actually. My husband and I are still happily married going on 6 years. :D

I know a girl who got married when she was 16 and her husband abused her and wanted to kill her, but couldn't open the gun cabinet.

Poor girl. Did they ever split up? I can see your point though. People get married at 27 and have that kind of marriage though. It just depends on the compatability of the two people, not their age.

Yeah they divorced. What pisses me off is that her parents and his parents convinced her not to press charges because he was joining the army... But she says he didn't leave any scars anyway so he wouldn't have gone to jail for long.

She's probably right about the jail thing. It might have just been her word against his. I'm glad they aren't together anymore. No women should have to suffer through a marriage and/ or relationship like that.

STFU, lager.

Wow, you got rage problems, we all knew this.... but DAMN. Chill boy!

Go fellate a horse.

why are you not banned permanently yet???

Cuda deserves every bit of what he gets. He follows me around from thread to thread acting as if he knows me. If you want me banned then PM a mod. Stop whining about it though. My posts are hardly ever useless one-liners unlike the crap lager posts.

Legally, all there needs to be is signs of abuse in the home, and a statement by the victim and the guy is off to spend the night in a cell.

I do beleive that the police need signs of physical abuse in the case of domestic violence. I might be wrong, but I don't think they would have put him in jail without physical signs of abuse.
