Yea Newegg is using a old stock photo. If you go to Gigabytes site ALL am3+ sockets are black.
But if I remember correct the 8XX chipset will nto support all of BD's features. Probable small things for most home users. The 9XX chipset is supposed to support all of BDs features.
Yeah. Very sad. I figured it was the start of a bunch of boards showing up, but instead it seems like an AM3 board incorrectly identified as an AM3+ board.
No it was a true AM3+ and was on gigabytes site. They were also removed from gigabytes site for a while but are back up now. So maybe AMD put some pressure on them or they took them down to try and push out the old AM3 boards?
