AM2 or Conroe?

AMD got there first. I'm building my first gaming PC. Ordering the parts from Newegg in a week. AM2 is the latest and kinda-greatest, Conroe isn't here yet. I want the computer for the summer. AMD wins. *shrug*

Depends on what mobo you are using now. If you are running a compatible conroe board, definitely Conroe. If you are not, then it is a tossup. But either way, Conroe IS superior. It is just a question of what is best for you.

I voted am2 as in my price range in canada (I am cheap), am2 is the better deal. I actually will likely not buy for a couple of months - so that could change if the cheaper conroes get cheaper in that time.
