I did extensive searching when win7 first came out and the only drivers I found were for the onboard raid controller and since I'm not raided, I really don't need them. I'm about to upgrade anyways once my tax refund comes in. just have to decide what to upgrade to, was going to get a sb2500k until that little problem popped up so I might just get a pII 1090t be with an fx890 mobo.
its a chipset driver with raid included.

I would wait until Intel gets this stuff sorted out.

does that happen to be named motherboard_driver_chipset_win7_rs690? that is RAIDXpert. all it does is install raid software.

yes, it does.

what about using the Vista driver with compatibility mode?

I managed to make a Win XP Nforce2 driver work in Win7 using compatibility mode.

I was able to get win7 driver for the onboard devices by downloading them for other boards that did have the same devices and had win7 support. The win7 included support for older devices really isn't to bad.
