I'm sure you win the first price for the first pointless and unrelated post in this thread. And I'll be second, I guess...

The point of my post is to show that this entire thread is without purpose.(Although many should be able to figure it out)

Your reply is without purpose. There was some merit to the guy posting the thread, but absolutely nothing in merit with your reply. Your just trying to startup problems. His had nothing to do with fanboyism like you.

Where did all of the Intel bots come from all of a sudden? It is really a shame that people have to be 'loyal' to a corporation who cares absolutely Nothing about you and yet people are completely disloyal to your mate or friend. This is just so twisted to me.

the way things are going, I'm going to be sorely dissapointed if I can't get Conroe right away, oh and the cheapest one, and it'll need OC 3-4GHz out of the box on air - otherwise it's a failure.

f***ing hype...f***ing fanboys

I expected this thread is about disussing the "Tritium", or "Linkboost" since there is nothing else really that would raises the scores like that. Same (architecturally) CPU, DDR2 (which hasn't been too hot on the performance side), and same GPU. The only difference is the platform and the platform has been known to overclock itself. Is there a thread about this already?

Linkboost has gotta be fast. Just look at the name. Like nitrous oxide or turbo boost for cars only this is for computers. In a jam in a game and your computer is struggling to keep your FPS up at that all so critical moment? -- Hit the Linkboost button!!

AMD is our mate/friend? When the hell did this happen? I paid money for my AMD CPU... and it was the best deal at the time. There was no drunken-revelry, butt-slapping or youthful camaraderie. It was nothing personal...just business.

Maybe since AMD has had the best gaming CPUs for the past 2 years, we oughta keep buying them for all eternity, even if a $530 T6700 beats the crap out of a $1000+ FX-62. (Check Hexus.net)

I think by mate/friend he was referring to Real Life relationships - not companies.

Yes, the Trinity system looks good. If you've got a Neo rated AM2 CPU, a Morpheus compliant graphics card and an Agent Smith approved motherboard then you get improved performance and your system becomes "the One."

While LinkBoost is an interesting idea, its actual implementation did not change our test scores outside the normal margin of error. The 25% increase in PCIe and HT yielded virtually the same performance as our system without LinkBoost enabled. The reason is that the performance boost is being applied in areas that have minimal impact on system performance.
..
The end result is that the Northbridge to CPU HyperTransport link remains at 8GB/s, and only the link between the MCP and SPP as well as the PEG slots get increased bandwidth. Having 8GB/s of bandwidth feed 10GB/s basically means you are still effectively limited to 8GB/s. It is possible that increasing the Northbridge to CPU bandwidth could improve performance slightly, but HyperTransport performance is rarely the bottleneck in current systems as you will see in our performance results.
Yeah, link boost sounds great. o_O

The Anandtech review doesn't show linkboost doing any real good. It seems it is simply for newblets who lack OC knowledge.
