Lots of progress shots there. Here's the best pic:

Nice build. Thanks for the picks - you give the rest of us hope... What's your CPU temp like with the Zalman?

I don't have a program to monitor temps during operation, but idling in the BIOS it stays at 41C.

I haven't had a chance to overclock or do much of anything like that yet. Here's a CPU-Z image:

Note that my memory is advertised to run 4-4-4-12, I just don't have time to deal with it yet. 😛

I wouldnt mind a SSF AM2 system. I was thinking about it and with my girlfriend and i getting engaged, buying a new house, new car and im sure within a few years a kid i probably wont have the money to buy a SECOND high end GPU.

Tsuwamono I'm in the same boat as you. Get the toys while you can!!!!!!! Cause once the bank accounts merge the high end buying is mostly done. I work in web develelopment and have an excuse to build new rigs from time to time to support side job work, but $1200+ on a set of video cards is hard to justify when there is a down payment to save up for or a mouth to feed. I'm not taking the plunge till later this year so I am building my one last rig with high end everything kinda as a last haraha. She's cool with the time I spend gaming and was surprisingly understanding about the water cooling setup so its not all that bad but once the big bills start to come the fun is mostly over. Unless you hit the lotto or something : )

Im fairly lucky.. she actually likes gaming too. Im giving her the rig im on now(in profile) and building my new one soon but i doubt crossfire will come into play lol

Oh man that DFI looks tastey : ) Anybody know what the lowest latency DDR2 1066 that is out or is going to be out in the next couple of months? I think I may pull the trigger on the DFI/FX-62 and would want to give it some memory it could take full advantage of. So far this kit looks like the best:

Cortair TWIN2X2048-8500C5.

Any other options anyone can recommend?

ive been doing as such. most are still backordered and as i said, ewiz wants to rob me of $75 to ship here. no way. lol.

Its already in one Canadian Store and I am going to review it today. Dunno about you guys but i'd wait for the DFI board. Its much better than any AM2 CF board IMO.

The MSI board so far is perfectly stable for me (although I haven't tried overclocking), but at stock settings it's worked wonderful. I'm glad I bought it.

As I said, the HTT is tricky to overclock because of the ****** up link speed setting. I still don't know if 'For Overclocking' is 3x or 4x or what.

id rather spend less

how much is the Sapphire going to run me?

Ive got an offer standing on an MSI for 125 shipped to me. I'd rather the Saph but if its going to cost a deal more then I'll go MSI.

The sapphire is going to be like 200$ canadian for sure. which puts it out of my price range unless it goes down by december

is there any reason whatsoever to buy the sapphire over the MSI?

so you're saying the sapphire is gonna be like $180 USD or you saying itll be 200 to canadians?
