Am I weird or is 25 too old to go "clubbing"?

Depends on the type of club.

ya, glad to hear from a fellow mid-twenties... I can't imagine myself in a club doing what I did 3-5 years ago... which was a complete waste of time and money imo.

Yeah...25 is the "age".

It's the age where your metobolism starts slowing down, so the gut starts appearing from your teenage eating habits.

It's the age where you start to see the hair thinning "just a tad".

It's the age where you realize you can't spend your entire paycheck on one really cool thing and deal with being broke for the next 1-2 weeks.

It's the age where you realize having a car that can go 0-60 in 5.5 seconds is not as important as one that gets at least 28MPG on the highway.

And...sadly...it's the age where clubbing starts to get old.

I'm over 30 and the best thing that can happen to me during the week is my wife takes the kids somewhere for a couple of hours and I can take a nap on the couch while watching "Monster House" or something on HGTV. 🙂

Just make sure the girl you pick up who says she's 25 and looks 20 isn't really 16.

:Q

That happened to me----except she was 13 (I was 19). Luckily I didn't do anything but fall asleep with her 😱

I don't go clubbing any more but I'd like to get back into it.

I go clubbing and I'm 24...
The ladies love to dance, and most people are in my age group and above. Although I go out in Toronto where no kid is going to pay $10 for a drink...🙂

Most clubs (the only ones you'd want to go to) won't let you in if you're under 21. You think that people only have four viable years to visit these establishments? Balderdash. If you don't like clubbing (personally, I've always hated it), fine, don't go. But don't use the "I'm too old for that" line when you're clearly not. It's false justification. Just say you don't like clubbing and be done with it.

That said, yeah, there is an age at which you are too old to club, but like puberty, it varies from person to person. Pretty much everyone should finish by their mid-30s or they risk looking like a total douchebag.
21? Is that a state law thing? I've never seen one with an age limit over 18, and even that's very flexible depending on who is at the door.

In/around Atlanta, it's actually quite the opposite; I'd have a hard time telling you the name of more than maybe one place that was 18+. Nearly everywhere here is 21 and up, and attempting to cater to the "young professional" crowd.

Id say the line gets grey when you pass into the 3rd decade of your life. The 20s are specifically for living life, so do whatever you want!

You have another year. Don't worry...at least one will hit 😉

Why would anybody over 21 want to go to a club that lets teenagers in?
Well, I am in Mississippi 😉

Seriously though, around here, the 25 year old girls are starting to get divorced. It's hard to meet women my age that aren't married and/or have kids. I've only been 25 for a week, so I haven't started losing any hair or anything. I've also lost 15 pounds in the last month, so the gut is going in the other direction.

So those of us who are 30 and beyond aren't living life anymore?😕

MISSISSIPPI? No wonder...you should be on your 3rd marriage to your 2nd cousin by that age... 😉

Here in CA you'd be hard pressed to find more than a couple of 18+ clubs in each major city. If you think about it, it makes sense. The majority of income come from alcohol. 18 year olds don't have $400-$1000 to drop on bottle service.

And out here, 25 is probably the "right" age to go clubbing. You're not an immature kid who gets too drunk and throws up on everyone, and you're not that old creepy guy in the club. And being asian and young looking, i still get suspiciously carded and eye-balled every time i go to the club anyway. Until i hand my military ID, doormen look at me like i'm still in HS.

Clubbing is acceptable at any age as long as your intention is to have fun. When I was in Vegas for my 21st I went to Studio 54 at the MGM and had a blast dancing with women ranging from my age to well over 50 years old. If you go to a club specifically to get drunk and try to hook up with someone you shouldn't be older than mid-20's.

False identification is a huge industry because all the enjoyable clubs are 21+.

~25 is great for clubbing. You're probably all done with your post-secondary education, have your own place, and started down the career path ($$$). What better time to go out on the town?

If clubs had to rely on people that were only 17-18, they would have hardly any customers. And honestly, why would anyone want to club without alcohol?

I go on college night still and I'm 25.....I don't have as much success as I used to, not by a LONG SHOT, but I still have fun.
I'm more of a mellow kind of person. Ecstacy and freak dancing aren't my thing. I'd rather go to a bar and watch a band play than hangout with the walking bags of STDs at the club.

But apparently we're going... At 11pm... :moon:
