Am I weird or is 25 too old to go "clubbing"?

My cousin is 27 and I'm 25. He wants to go to "clubbing" tonight. When I was 17 or 18 I did that, but clubs seems like places for kids. 25 and 27 seem way too old to go to these things. Especially sober. 😉

35 maybe.. If you are single and 25 there is nothing wrong with going out to the club / bar.
Might as well, I guess. It's either that or sit around watching TV.

I'm currently 27 and will still go out to clubs/bars with friends when I have the time. As another poster mentioned, though, the type of club has definitely changed.

Yeah, that's a good point. I'm not really in the mood for flickering lights, light sticks, mind-numbingly loud music, and the occassional drug related shooting... 😛

Where are you going? Have a local pub? That may be a better choice...or maybe a brewery with a pub. In NYC there are a lot of clubs that all sorts of perverts, sex fiends, hookers, and normal people go to every day of the week.

Most clubs (the only ones you'd want to go to) won't let you in if you're under 21. You think that people only have four viable years to visit these establishments? Balderdash. If you don't like clubbing (personally, I've always hated it), fine, don't go. But don't use the "I'm too old for that" line when you're clearly not. It's false justification. Just say you don't like clubbing and be done with it.

That said, yeah, there is an age at which you are too old to club, but like puberty, it varies from person to person. Pretty much everyone should finish by their mid-30s or they risk looking like a total douchebag.

Each club/bar has it's own well known age demographic. It's not uncommon to find some that are more typically 35+ y/o.

21? Is that a state law thing? I've never seen one with an age limit over 18, and even that's very flexible depending on who is at the door.

My clubbing days were when I was 18/19/20 years old. Most of my friends from those days don't do it anymore.

We were pretty hardcore though - out days at a time, loads of drugs, etc. I don't think any of us have the time or energy for that at 24/25.

I definately still go to bars though.

Didn't read any of the replies.

I did it until I was about 29. Had a BLAST, but it honestly was had already when I was 27. Between friends dragging me out and the steady nookie supply, it was difficult to turn down.

But I'm happy to say that those days are long gone. If I had $1 for every $20 I left on a bar during my "lost years" I'd have...a sheitload of money.

nearing expiration date, the cheese is starting to smell!!! why didn't someone eat the cheese already? rejects? 30's starting creepy zone.
