Am I weird? Milk-related question inside.

I like milk a lot. I usually buy 1/2% here in Michigan, which is great, since they didn't have it when I used to live in Ohio. Anyway, I have no problem drinking milk at my place or when I go to my parents. But for some reason, I just don't like drinking milk when I'm at a restaurant or a friend's house. It just seems...gross. I'm not sure why, but drinking milk anyplace except my home makes me uneasy.

I was hanging out at some friends' house last night and they offered me some cake. I ate it but when they offered me some milk it just seemed gross to take their milk and drink it. I am not sure why.

Am I weird?

Milk is symbolic of your bond with your mother. Milk at home is comforting and soothing to you while milk in a different environment is acting as a catalyst to push you away. Your subconscious yearns to once again breastfeed my friend.

You are not weird. I cannot stand touching other people's video game controller. I have to bring my own if I want to play. The hands are dirty.

I'm no where near as neurotic as you, but I can understand not drinking something as spoilable (word?) as milk if you don't know how old it is. 😉 I guess for yourself, you know the milk's expiration, how long it's been in the fridge, how cold it's been stored, etc so you're comfortable drinking it.

Then compare that to a restaurant or someone else's place -- who knows how fast they go through their milk?

I feel your pain. I cannot poo at other people's houses. I am worried that I'll clog it or I'll REALLY mess myself and have to take a shower to fully clean up.

ROFL! You, sir, are extremely odd.

 to you anyways 🙂

I would do that as well, but I realized that playing Halo on my friend's X-Box while using my GC controller wasn't going to work.

My wife will not drink milk out of a carton/gallon that someone else has drank from. Fair enough. But I always catch her taking the milk out of the fridge and drinking right from the gallon. If I do that and she sees, then that gallon is MINE. She will never touch it again...
