Maybe you just have no friends. Maybe thats why so many people dont like myspace.....
it has its uses. Ive found people from high school who I simply lost touch with. Its nice to catch up with people who used to be good friends.

I will never participate in such nonsense. Why would I want to put my life on display for mindless strangers. I am reminded of that thread over christmas where ATOT stalked these random drunk party girls and got many many pictures of them. While I did enjoy looking at those pics if the position was replaced I really wouldn't want a bunch of nerds trying to find pictures of me.

Maybe i am just old but i do not have anything like that. Heck, i cannot remember the last time i went on a chat engine like AIM or ICQ...
Im 24 and Im on AIm 24/7. And when Im not home, I have an away message up, when Im out at dinner, I have a message up, etc. All of my friends the same age do this as well. My gf is 25, she does the same thing. I dont know what it is, but it's a part of our daily lives. Im not sure when we'll stop....maybe when we have kids..?
I am that age too... and i just stopped using it when i graduated high school. I feel like I am out of the loop so to speak but i have no need to now.
ATOT is more a part of my daily life (by far) than AIM ever was... although i don't know if i should be proud of that!
I created an account just to catch some random people I went to high school with. I haven't checked it in months.

Thats just your perception.....people use it for different reasons. I dont use it for 'cyber-friends'. All of the people I have are people Ive known throughout childhood, high school, college, and family.
Yes, lots of people use it for stupid reasons.....but people use many things for stupid reasons. It doesnt make you cool to not take advantage of something cause it does have its benefits.
Regarding your argument, the same can be said about ATOT. Many people here consider themselves 'cyber-friends'.

i have facebook. it was cool when it first came out...now i go on it maybe every other week or so.
I made one awhile ago and never did anything with it. I don't even remember my password for it anymore so I can't delete it....
