8 Mile? Just watched the ending on MTV tonight. I love the ending "rap battle". Mathers is actually a pretty good actor.

i liked it too. gives you the some of the story of his life, but i'll bet his mom DID NOT look like Kim Basinger irl. 😛
 
I think this is a movie a lot of people secretly like. Rarely discussed though.

I liked it quite a bit.

It was a decent movie.

My first night in Detroit I decided to see the real 8 mile road. Its pretty much a six lane highway. Very disapointing.

8 Mile is also very long. What it looks like depends on where you are at on the road.

It most definitely is not a six lane highway the entire stretch. It's also started looking rather shitty not too far from where I had been on 8 Mile.

I do not live in Detroit but have been to it many times. Fuck that city.
Toledo is enough of a Detroit-Lite that I just wanna get further away. 😛

It's not a bad movie actually, and I can definitely say I can enjoy it at times.
 
For a movie about a white rapper, yeah, it was a quality film.
He seems to be a decent actor, though it's hard to tell when someone is playing themself.
 
One of my Mom's favourite movies. She owns a total of 5 movies on DVD and this is one of them. I thought it was not too bad, but I'm in no rush to watch it again.

I really liked it, glad other people did as well.. I liked it as a sports movie, and i don't like sports movies
