I'm watching Mulan II with my stepdaughter. ugh. the first movie was great, I really expected more... my wife tells me there's a cinderella 2. what the hell is that gonna be about? the adventures of her getting married? wtf!!

Because the world is full of thoughtless lemmings, and unfortunately they have money, so the studios do what they can to get it from the lemmings!

Mulan II also went directly to video so it realy tells you about the budget the put into it.
 
Guaranteed sales. The people who enjoyed the 1st one are likely to go to the sequel even if it sucks and the critics panned it.
Like you said, "the first movie was great, I really expected more." But you're watching it anyway, the movie producers got paid, and that's all that counts.

anyways..

ya most of the disney sequels to their great animated features suck 🙁
i mean all.

they just want more money from the parents w/ kids who want to see a continuation of the story. kids can care less about the story 🙁
