Am I the only one who finds this strange?

Im not really sure if this is suppose to happen or not...

I just bought a Western Digital 80GB 8meg cache hard drive. Strange thing is that if I store files other than video or mp3/wave, it does not delete it off the harddrive. I can delete the file and clear it out of the recycle bin, but if I look at my hard drive, I dont get anymore free space. I am using Windows XP, the layout is set to basic, the type is dynamic and the file system is NTFS. I am using this as my secondary/slave drive. Any opinions on this?

My guess is that there is a backup in system restore. So you should run the disk cleanup utility and then goto more opitions. Then select clean system restore. When you do that, it should clear all the system checkpoints.

Im not exactly sure what that means myself, but it says that under TYPE in the disk management in the administrative tools..
