Am I the only one who finds it nasty...

... that some people change at work into their dress clothes? As in, they will have a single suit at work that they change into. They show up at the office in trashy shorts and a t-shirt, and then put on their "uniform" that sits there and doesn't get washed.

They don't run/bike to work either, so they aren't sweating and don't need to get changed for that reason.

They don't wash it ever? I don't mind if they change at work into something, but they should wash it every other week at least. Even if you don't do anything, it will start to smell after awhile.

Are you 100% sure they don't wash it? Or are you just assuming so you could make a post on the internet about it?

If you asked them and they said "yeah I don't ever get this suit cleaned", then yeah that's kinda gross.

But chances are that they do take it home and wash it once in awhile.

Well lets see, at my company we have people who make breakfast at work, eat breakfast at work, read the paper at work, brush their teeth at work, and take their morning constitutional every day at work. So I guess getting dressed at work is the next logical step and by then it will be lunchtime.

😕 You don't crap at work?

it's a little gross.

I keep gym clothes (company gym) and a sweater at work, but they get taken home and washed as needed.

Wearing the same suit for a whole work shift every day without ever washing it is nasty. They've got to be washing it sometime though or else everyone in the office would be smelling their dingy clothes by now.

Why should we change into an office uniform, do clothes really make the man or woman?
Where does this myth come from, that if we dress to someone's expectations, it somehow increases our brainpower or the quality of the decisions we make?

it actually increases professionalism.

one of the offices i used to work at had "dress down Friday" .. anything went.

Everyone was professional Mon thru Thurs... then on Friday... it was like a schoolyard at recess.

why shouldn't you change into a uniform? you're being paid to be a cog in the machine, not a unique snowflake with a truly, truly, truly outrageous fashion sense.

Because, the IDF needs to be matching when they gun down palestinians?

constantly wearing something and never washing it is always a problem, no matter the circumstances.

I would agree, but if they're sitting in an air conditioned office and rarely leave their cubicle, how often does that suit need to be washed?

Personally, I'd still bring in clean on the start of the week, and take it home for washing at the end of the week, bringing in a clean set on the start again.

My mom says a lot of the lawyers just change their shirts and ties and socks every day but the suit stays in their office all week.
HOWEVER, they do take the suit home on the weekends and show up monday with a fresh one.

i almost never crap at work...but i do that in the morning and usually dont eat breakfast or lunch, so its rare that theres a need

Man, I crap at work almost every single day. The other day something I ate didn't agree with me and I crapped 3 times that afternoon.

Do you have a problem crapping at work or do you just not crap that often or do you just hold it?

Seems like a lot of people here have bathroom issues here and I don't understand them. No talking in the men's room ever, no eye contact, wash hands, don't wash hands, never crap at work, only pee in the stalls, etc. How do you people get so fucked up? 😀
