So am I the only one who doesn't know about Bit Torrent? I never have used it and I don't even know how. I tried it once for about 15 minutes but soon gave up b/c I didn't know how to do it.

i don't use it at all. i got it once and i didn't understand it so i uninstalled it.

Ya, I got this torrent client once supposedly but didn't know how to search. Then I see some websites that say, use torrent to download these files. But they have some crazy extension like .bt and I couldn't download them or something. And finally when I got something downloaded it didn't work or anything like that.

You give up too easily.

Download .torrent file. Double-click it. It starts downloading.

I think when I return to my dojo tonight I may research this so called "Pirate tool". Also I'm surprised at the number of people who love me 🙂

edit: I love you!

and I love you...as long as you don't love pirates and are pro-hippos

Arrrrrr! It wasn't meant to be. 🙁

Bittorrent is far more than some pirate tool. It allows files to be distributed without the incredible expense of hosting and bandwith. Downloading linux iso's via bittorrent gives incredible speeds. I was downloading the Centos 4.1 DVD iso a couple of weeks ago and was getting over 600k/sec. I doubt any server that the DVD would be hosted on could do anywhere near that speed!

Let me guess...you tried it once and did not inhale either.

Ninjas are not known for their persistance. I'll try it again I think.

bt is the ish.
you can set up your xbox to do it now too. (not too helpfull though with a mac)
in my opinion though, it's best on a mac thanks to the mass popups, viruses n stuff.

i used azureus a bit, but it used up huge amounts of cpu, so i use the little blue ocean thing mostly.

good stuff.

That's really strange since your are a "Pirate Princess" :Q 😕 😉 Arggggggggh 🙂

Cheers,
Aquaman

im in the same boat kinda... i know the general concept and understand how its useful but i've never had to download anything that shareaza couldn't find... AFAIK you just find some torrent site and click the link and your BT client (or shareaza for that matter) will kick in and handle the download...
