Am I the only one here proud of my gpa?

Happy with mine:

3.33 Overall

Major 1 MIS 3.6
Major 2 Finance 3.30

BTW, I had an absolute blast in college. I guess I could have studied a little more, but I would have missed out on the some of the best times of my life. And in the end it worked out. I have a good job that starts in June and as long as a get a good score on the GMAT or LSAT, I should be able to get into a good (Top 50) Law School or MBA program.
 
I am proud of my 3.2 (Cum Laude) from Georgia Tech and proud my 3.8 (Magna Cum Laude) from my private high school, Woodward Academy.
 
That's really awesome, and it's something that you should be very proud of. However, grades aren't everything. I graduated with a 2.8 and have a great job in Orlando. My wife and I live quite well, in fact. One thing you'll learn very quickly after college is what really matters in life. If you're stressing about something as meaningless as grades, take a step back, take a deep breath, and realize it ain't the end of the world.

Seriously though, congrats to you all. Very impressive indeed.
 
i have a 3.5+vg in the classes I have taken so far.
I doubt I shall ever get my 2 year degree.

Last class I took was 3 years ago,I did get an "A" though..

First 2clases were in 1977. "B" in both of those.

2 other classes were 4.0,one was pass/fail,the other I got an "A"

Come on, there isn't a magical cut off number where if you don't make the grade they won't even look at your application.

My largest client refuses to hire anyone with less than a 3.0. The president of the company feels that anyone with less than a 3.0 is lazy and will not be a good worker.

nah, you should worry unless you have a 3.8 or above, or you're an underrepresented minority. nobody with a 3.2-3.79 is safe. average for matriculants is 3.5, but lots of 3.5's get rejected. it's all about the package. i got in with a 3.4 from ucla.

Yeah, im just saying i need 3.75 to be competitive, as in my GPA wont be my weakest point
 
My GPA breaks down as follows:

Cumulative (for all college coursework including two courses at a community college): 3.46
Major GPA (Accounting): 3.48
Major GPA (Economics): 3.42

I did decently on the LSAT (165) and GMAT (740); I know with work experience I'm competitive for the top 20 MBA programs, and if I have a chance to retake the LSAT I'll be competitive for the top 30 law schools (though maybe not HLS or YLS). I have an internship lined up for the summer with a top 4 accounting firm and I've been admitted to a top tier MPAcc program for the coming year.

Your GPA is what you make of it. Many times a poor GPA can be a barrier but a semi-decent GPA should never stand in your way.
 
I don't give a damn about my GPA. I didn't for the past four years either. It's all about networking and knowing people. I spent my time making connections, not studying.
 
I'm over 3.9, but it's only an AA degree (11 credit hours left to go..I should have a 4.0 this semester, if I study enough for my bio final). I don't typically go around telling anybody, though..it's not really that important..especially for an AA. 😛

Grades DO matter. If I don't pass this computer architecture class I am struggling with I won't have a job. 🙁
 
I'm proud of my GPA (3.67 in EE) but I really want to get it up to a 3.7 before I graduate (running out of hours though, graduating next year)..
 
Graduated with 3.5 in EE. 3.75 in core courses of EE....much lower in the "other stuff" (English, etc) dept! 😀
