Am I the only normal 45 yr old male playing Pokemon White V2?

I'm a 32 year old man who has never played a Pokemon game, I don't like excessively Japanese/anime stuff.

I liked Robotech and Voltron as a kid, but I could never get into Final Fantasy, Zelda was great... Castlevania lost me once it went all anime with Symphony of the Night (which was still alright, but the later ones were even worse down that road...)

Pokemon to me, well, I can't even imagine a scenario where I'd even try a Pokemon game.

But if you love it I'm glad for you and I say, more power to you. Don't let anyone else tell you what to love.

All joking aside, I agree with this. You're a gamer, and you like what you like. It gets old listening to certain members on here and other pages trash people because they like a certain style of game or a franchise. At the end of the day, we are all gamers that like our games for different reasons, have fun with it.

45 years old, huh? Sure takes a long time to catch them all.

They can make games faster than you can play them.

I think thats why people invest 8 hours a day into them. Thats why its way more popular on gameboy than any other system. You need to work that shit during your commute, lunch break, doctors office, and between entrees & desserts.

I played the old school red/blue/yellow games a bit back in the day, but haven't really touched any of the newer ones. It's still the exact same game basically. You'd think after all this time and with the advances in technology they'd have made a more ambitious Pokemon game. Something with a fully explorable 3D world where you can go out and actually catch them. I'm amazed they haven't tried a Pokemon MMO.

3D came along and they gave us, Pokemon Snap and the lame ass Battle Colosseum that was just a tie in with the gameboy versions.

My son loves the Pokemon games. He's 10.

More power to you! It's just a game, and by the looks of things a very addictive one.

I'm 26 and played the hell out of Red and Blue, not so much Yellow. I did buy Pokemon Stadium and it was stupid as hell.

I might have to start playing them, I'm so desperate for new oldschool JRPGs, Ill take anything at this point lol.

Final Fantasy II, III, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Lufia, Breath of Fire, etc are all fun, but can't ever be "edge of your seat" again beyond the first play.

I played Pokemon once on a road trip back east. That crap is addicting! I never played after that since the game belonged to my buddy. But who cares what your age is or what games you like. Play on!

I'm 22 and I've played each gen. However, I skipped Black/White 2 since Black/White was enough for me.

There are 50+ yr. old grown ass women playing farm simulators many hours a day and paying real cash for decorations. Don't listen to the haters, game on son.

^ Well said.

I wouldn't worry about what anyone else thinks. Most of the people that would criticize you for playing are the people that have never tried it themselves. Play what you like.
