am i supposed to tip my cable tv installer?

after several months with no tv i've finally got the cable tv installer coming at 10am today.

here's my question: am i supposed to tip him? it's a one room, one tv install. nothing extremely hard. i don't want to make a faux paus. (and i don't mean tipping him to get 'free' channels, it's digital tv)

thanks for any advice...

Nope, no tip.
It would be nice to offer him a cup of coffee and a piece of pumpkin pie. I'm sure he'd like that 🙂

well *nudge* you could just hook up all those premium channels...

*nudge* if you wanted. Here's 40 bucks for all your hard work

*wink*

I had a guy come by to install directv. It took a long time and the guy was really good about properly tying off everything and neatly routing the cables etc, so I decided to pay him a nice tip before he left. I don't think you normally have to pay a tip for cable or dish installation, but if someone goes beyond expectations to do a good job, you should reward them for it.

You don't smell so good yourself, Shlong.
