Am I Safe?

Ok, I am home from college for winter break, I don't go back until the 23rd. I am in the proccess of building a pc but don't yet have all the parts. Is it ok to install the power supply, hard drive, optical drive right now and leave it in until I go back?

I ask this because there are so many boxes I have and I just want to get the preccess going.

You could take everything out of the boxes but leave them in the internal packaging. Like an Athlon comes in that tiny little plastic case.

Wrong forum, try General Hardware.

Depending on your case, installing your hard drive might get in the way of installing the motherboard, but the PSU and optical drive(s) should be fine.

rymaster, if i ever saw your pre-computer that you are talking about, i would take a big sht in it for using this forum to discuss said dilemma

I think you should just send them to me for safe-keeping. Then I can send it back to you (but we'd better make sure it's insured)

Yeah, go ahead. If anything gets in the way when you install the mobo, it's just a few seconds to take them out.
