Am I safe using the stock ASRock overclock profile for my 2500k?

I have my 2500k overclocked to 4.0ghz using the built in ASRock overclocking profile that automatically recognizes the 2500k and then gives you settings for 4.0, 4.2, 4.4 ghz etc...

I figured 4.0 ghz is a pretty safe overclock. I have a CM 212+ cooler and my temps are great. Been going solid for a year now.

Am I safe?

I'd say you're pretty safe. I believe you're running about 400 Mhz above the stock clock, and with Sandy you probably have room for another 400 more, at least.

I was wondering also about the voltage and stuff. I hope its not pumping too much voltage through my cpu you know?

I'm not familiar with the AsRock overclock profile, but I believe it does bump up the voltage a notch or two. I'm guessing AsRock wouldn't endanger their customers processors by doing anything harmful with the voltage, so if you're not manually adjusting it I wouldn't worry. The thing you should be most concerned with is temperatures, if you are running cool you are fine.

I have an i5 2500K overclocked to 4.5GHz for the last 2 years. Stable and uses only 1.3v at full load. You should be able to get another 500Mhz out of your CPU.
