Am I paying too much for my sound system?

I plan on buying a top of the line sound system. This is what I'm thinking about
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum(200)
Klipsch Promedia 5.1(400)
Klipsch promedia dd-5.1 (170) do I need this?
Newq platinum EQ(130)
Will all this be compatible, am I buying the wrong things?

You can dump the dd-5.1...your audigy does Dolby Digita 5.1.

drop the audigy platinum unless u really want the breakout box

get an audigy OEM instead they are the same card except you get creative's 2nd rate software with it

the cards are fine but IMO their software is vastly inferior to other products and that is essentially what u are paying for with the $140 price difference


I really dont see the point of the NEWQ either unless you have to be able to adjust the equalizer from the computer

as for the klipsch promedias read the review of the klipsch and the megaworks 510D

IMO the megaworks a better set of speakers at a better price
