I truly think this is pathetic.

How can we expect this guy to lead when he can't take care of his family.

Queue the obamabots calling you a liar for posting this. Plus this is meaningless, it speaks nothing about his character. Plus it's nobodies business. Plus you just "owned yourself" like so many people on here like to say. "plus anyone who thinks this matters is an idiot". Plus "Hahahahahaahahahaa rofl I cant think of anything intelligent to say so i'll pretend it's funny that you even posted this lolololol".

There, now with that out of the way, we can have an intelligent debate?

My take? I think it speaks to his character more than anything, but we really dont' know what went on between them and I don't think we ever will. Obviously though, he doesn't think much of brotherhood.

Ignorance is bliss, this proves it. You can't form one original thought in your head so you have to hijack a thread instead. Why do you even post in P&N if all you're going to do is threadcrap when something comes up you don't like to hear?

Ps, go get help, you just hallucinated giving me some ice cream.

See how that works?

I'm sorry. I thought "republicans" were big on personal responsibility - persons should fend for themselves and pull themselves up by their boot straps...

Now what you seem to be saying to me is - that Obama shouldn't act the "republican" way of dealing with people...

I see nothing wrong with Obama letting his brother fend for himself. The only thing about the whole story that stunk to me was how little he had in the way of contact with his brother. At face value, the story reeks of Obama not caring for his own brother enough to keep regular contact up which the article made clear. This whole "obama should make him a rich Kenyan" thing isn't what bothers me at all.

Put it this way: The thing that bothers me is that while Obama can't find it in himself to care about his own brother, what makes you think he'll care about the average american? It signals to me that Obama is seeking power for the sake of seeking power and nothing more.

I would like to hear the rest of the story. I am no means rich(working class) but have at times helped out my brother and his family in times of need. I really hope there is a good explanation for Obama. I just could not imagine having the means but not helping my brother out. I am sure there is a good reason why he has not helped. Obama may be a lot of things but he is not an evil person. I hope this turns out to be a non story.

How can we expect people to defend McCain who cheated on his disfigured wife and then divorced her so that he could be the kept poodle of an uber rich, drug addled bimbo when we advance this type of side-sho personal slur as disqualifying Obama?

I am one huge hypocrit.

Fixed. In fact, extensively repaired and made right. ;)

Tell me - what should Mr. Obama have done concerning his kin?

I have a older half brother and older half sister who I haven't seen since I was like 13. who knows where they are. Should I be responsible if one of them is living in a gutter?

His dad seems like the poster child for the problems that plague the black community. Multiple kids with multiple women and he left them with no means of supporting themselves.

Maybe Obama could turn this around by addressing this fact and using it as an example of why men need to do a better job of living up to their responsibilities.

I'm sure Obama is happy to hear that the little 5 year-old half-brother he met once 20 years ago has been found.

To Obama's credit, I believe he did this, once, which I was glad to hear, but I haven't heard it since. I presume he was pandering to whatever church group of responsible fathers were there at the time.

No, it was the subject of his speech to the NAACP just last month, and it's why Jesse Jackson said he wanted to cut his nuts off.

I'm sorry. I must have missed your many posts pointing out far worse and more recent adult missteps by McCain.

Links to them, please?

Interesting that the OP didn't seem to read his 2nd link where George denies media reports that he is in poverty.

But reports surfaced in the past few days, springing from an Italian Vanity Fair article saying George Obama is living in a shack and "earning less than a dollar a day."

The reports left him angry.

"I was brought up well. I live well even now," he said. "The magazines, they have exaggerated everything.

"I think I kind of like it here. There are some challenges, but maybe it is just like where you come from, there are the same challenges," Obama said.

Obama, who is in his mid-20s, is learning to become a mechanic and is active in youth groups in Huruma. He said he tries to help the community as much as he can.

Half-Siblings are rarely close, especially if they grew up not knowing each other.
