Ok so seeing as no one answered my old post ill try this again.
New computer doesn't seam to be working right, first off when I got it all done and built and then tried to turn it on and what not to install windows, so after turning it on nothing happened. Just a blank screen and the light on the monitor was blinking like the computer was shut off. So anyways I gave up on it for the night and went to bed.
When I woke up this morning I turned it on and it started up, but on the first screen it gave me an error saying "CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded". So I go into the bios and change around some things and get it to start on the installation for windows (xp pro btw). Everything gets done and the I get to the desktop. This is when I noticed that it said it was running like a 2100+, when its suppose to be a 2700+. So I restart and go into the bios to change the frequency, I do that and the save and restart. After I restarted I just got the same thing from last night, a blank screen and the light blinking like the computer was turned off.
So I let it sit for a bit and then turn it back on, I get the same error message "CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded". So I just tell it to continue and start up, it goes and starts up. I check the cpu and it says its a 1500+ (I think) and then in the bios it says its running at 100 mhz.
From what ive tried it seams that whenever I go above 133 it doesn't work anymore. It suppose to be a 2700+, I dont get it. Or is there something else that I need to change in the bios in order for me to up the frequency of the CPU?
I really hope someone can help me, this is really frustrating. I dont know if I should just send it back and use my old computer.
