Okay I just got my new mobile barton 2400+ here are my system specs...

Epox 8rda+
512mb Samsung pc2700
Radeon AIW 9800pro
Allied 450W PSU

Heres my prob. I can't even get the 2400+ to run at stock speeds. It's stable only at 133x11 which I believe is below stock, heh. My first guess is my memory isn't fast enough, pc2700. I have it set to optimal in bios which says something like 6-3-3-3 or something along those lines. Anything above 140fsb it doesn't like. Any ideas?? Oh my case is chocked full of dust, especially the PSU but I cleaned off the fans and stuff thinking maybe that could be the prob, could it? Anyways sorry for the newb question but I'm kind of new to this overclocking thing. Got to learn somewhere...

What voltage is your memory set for? Try the 2.63V setting if it's not at least that high already. Also, give us some more info about your cooling stuff... what heatsink do you have, what thermal-interface material is between the heatsink & CPU core, and are you sure you got the heatsink on the right way?

Okay it wasn't at 2.63 and I raised it... so I was able to up it to about 144fsb but still, that seems insanely low compared to what people are getting (200fsb normally). And I dont' think 144 is still stock speeds yet?? I'm not sure the model of my heatsink since it doesn't have any writing on it, but I know it's a thermalright 9-something I bought a while back, cost me over 50 bucks. My cpu is running at about 36-37c and maybe 39 after a while of farcry - so I think my cpu is fine. I had some artic silver 3 still on the heatsink when I swapped cpu's so I didn't reapply (I ran out and am expecting a shipment from SVC.com tomorrow). But like I said I don't think my cpu is the prob because of the low temps..?? Any more suggestions??

ALWAYS reapply. The thermal paste is not longer any good if you remove the heatsink.

Stock FSB btw is 133. I don't think however that it is the right multiplier.
