This is the front page article on FoxNews.com right now:
Pelosi slammed for attending lavish wedding maskless while California children are forced to mask up

I will save you a click and summarize. Pelosi officiated a wedding in San Francisco City Hall where attendees did not wear masks. Pelosi did not wear a mask either. The Fox News article contrasts this with California schools, where masks are required, in an attempt to point out some kind of gross injustice. The article wonders aloud how Pelosi can attend a wedding without a masks while children "suffer" in their masks.

The answer to this question is that those at the wedding were likely vaccinated. Those in schools may not be vaccinated and for some students the vaccine has not yet been authorized.

Neither the article nor any of the commentors seem to understand this. Am I missing something?

This is likely why this was allowed https://sfmayor.org/article/san-fra...s-certain-indoor-settings-where-stable-groups. Fox wont say that part though. They are obligated to fuel the rage!

This is the kind of underhanded vitriol that FOX is notoriously noted for. They can't ever rely on the facts and truths of anything to put a shine on their conservative bias because there are no notable facts and truths to do it with. Ergo, their inherent reliance on outright lying, deceptive commentary and their experienced talent at Machiavellian parsing of factual statements.

Foxnews often engages in, what we call, propaganda.
One might say it is their only function.
Unfortunately they are not alone in that regard.
I think of it as FoxAgitProp (appropriately, "FAP"), with basically 24-7 agitprop, hiding behind a shallow pretense of being news. The ~20% of time spent on real news that they used to carry has now almost entirely been excised.

I see completely bullshit headlines on TVs at the gym regularly. Damn TVs only show 3 channels, CNN, Fox News and ESPN. I'm sure that was a corporate decision. They don't want to piss anyone off. I'm going to start a "bullshit headline/chyron" thread. Propaganda in a headline that does not resemble the truth.

I think you need to add a few more sh!ts to this post...
I think what you are saying is that pejoratives and a negative attitude, running other people down is something that properly brought up people should have been taught to avoid and for reasons that it does little to those to whom such insults are directed and points to a very similar lack of inner character and callowness in those who directed it. But note too that by pointing that out to him you want him to feel it, to feel how coarse he is.

It seems to me that when someone attacks something that we may consider to be a sacred cow, or attacks in a way that violates our sacred cow moral opinions, we don't hear the criticism of what was targeted but hear, instead, a reason to counterattack. The charge will then come back noting we are deflecting. Could that, in fact, be the case here?

In my opinion Fox News is a propaganda machine, an immoral one that engages in the sin of bearing false witness against liberals and minorities to preserve the power of the traditional establishment. They do it knowing they lie for power and wealth. There job is to create fear and the hatred it generates.

What you defend then, in my opinion, is all that you believe is sacred, all the survival values built into human nature by evolution because it has survival value, respect for authority, for ones elders, conformity to religious moral standards, respect for purity etc, things on which liberals are less fixated. Having a greater spectrum of moral concerns than liberals do makes you more vulnerable, however, to fear they will be lost were liberals to hold power. This makes it possible for conservatives to be more easily manipulated by psychopaths and sociopaths like Trump and all others playing for power and money. Fear is the mind killer.

What Fox News does is attack the liberal central values of justice and equality, liberals primary moral concerns, and it does so in ways that provoke fear. When liberals are threatened they are no different than conservatives and will react with the same vigor as other fundamentalists. You will see yourself in the mirror.

They fully understand.

The logical disconnect doesn't matter, their thralls will eat it up; that's what they do.
Just passing by Fox covering the laying of the wreath for Veteran's Day, good ole Jene couldn't help but think about the withdrawal from Afghanistan. SOP for Fox.
