is this a rogers problem or icq?

im on hold wth rogers.

i am so angry.

test your connection by uploading to another ftp site. That's the only true measure of your upload speed. It could just be the server you're sending to (or the route to it) is slow.

which makes NO SENSE cuz it does this to everyone i upload to for the past week.

is it an icq problem maybe?

I don't think it's an ICQ problem. I've cable as well (Rogers@Home in Brampton, ON.) and at certain times, usually in the evening, I will sometimes get 5K transfers over ICQ as well. Most of the time though I'm in the high 40K area. Anyways, it's probably not an ICQ problem but rather a problem with your ISP.

Maybe they are doing upgrades to their servers. I know that for two weeks straight Roger's was upgrading in our area and the internet sucked big time. Worse than dial-up. UGH! But all is fine now.

Wow... 978? That is pretty low. Actually, it's pretty good compared to some internet connections, but I average easily 1400+ on those speed test things. You'd better talk to technical support. Rogers@Home commercials state, &quot;If you're not completely satisfied, get your money back.&quot; You could always do that if things don't work out.
