We got one yesterday morning.

Been playing it rather constantly ever since (few hours). A 15 coin return would be considered lucky by my standards. Got plenty of free spins though.

Get this:

My sister, 3 years old, just found out how to work it and she hits the jackpot 3 TIMES! (600+ coins) :Q in less than 10 minutes.

Do I just suck at slots, or is that beginner's luck?

You really think the slot machines require skills? And that your 3 yr old sister is better at it than you are (whatever skill you think it requires)?

All slot machines (unless they are rigged) have to pay out 98-99% of what you put it in. Every casino has to adhere to a strict set of regulations of what they payout is, and I believe these figures are available for public (could be in the possession of the county clerk). 1-2% is what you lose, and what translates into casino profit (obviously they profit on volume). So, when you have sets of slot machines tied together, a cetralized computer in the casino calculates the income/payout and distributes the payout semi-randomly back to the slot machines.

The fact that your sister has hit jackpot 3 times is very odd. This could be a malfunctioning slot-machine.

Yes, some of them pay out 98-99%, but there is no stipulation on time. It could be over a 30 year period and in a 10 minute time one could see anything.

the 3 yr old shouldnt be gambling...

Sometimes some machines have higher odds.. like in the Monte Carlo in vegas i hit the jackpot 3 times in 10 minutes. All because i had a set of rules that worked out..
