Am I in the wrong?

Yesterday I was browsing the FS/T forums and found a decent deal on some RAM. I told the guy I was interested but I hadn't yet received all my Christmas presents and wanted to wait at least a day before deciding. Turns out I got RAM today and when I told the guy I wasn't interested and good luck with selling it (I knew he would, the price was great), he sent me this:

I turned down several other buyers because you said you wanted the ram and would pay me on Monday. This really pisses me off. Never try to buy any of my hardware again.

Name withheld because I'm not as much of an ass as he is. One of the messages I sent to him read as follows.

Can you give me a day to wait? I'm still waiting on a few Christmas presents and a RAM stick may just be one of them. If I don't get a stick tomorrow then I will contact you, probably sometime in the early afternoon.

His reply was

If it's not sold that will be fine.

How the fvck is this my fault? I told him that if he had so many other people interested then he could very easily PM them, and that he doesn't have to worry about my buying from him in the future because he's being such an ass about this.

Cliffnotes:
-Saw RAM, sent PM showing interest
-Asked if it was okay that I didn't say yea or nea yet because I hadn't gotten all my presents
-Seller said it's fine if it wasn't sold by then
-I got RAM, sent PM saying good luck selling it and I was no longer interested
-Tells me he turned down "several" offers because I said I was going to pay him on Monday (which I never did)

As a card-carrying Goody Two-Shoes, I find nothing wrong with your actions.

If the PM's you posted are "accurate," you were honest and it's not your fault IMO aplefka :)

Hahaha thanks Dave. I thought maybe my being tired just messed with my judgement. Maybe this guy was just having a bad day too, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Does sound like you're right but I have to ask... did you end up needing the RAM?

Edit for spelling

Yeah, I copied them right from the history. I just left out his name and the date/timestamp.

Nah, I got some (512MB Corsair PC3200). That's why he's pissed I guess. But I never even said that I would buy it, just that I was interested.

sounds like he is an ass, but you posted one of your messages, can I see all of them so I can make a better judgement?

Maybe it's an innocent mistake. Maybe he got your nick and someone else's mixed up.
