Am I in the wrong to even bring this up about parking?

We house some stuff at a colo but their cooling and up time hasn't been the best so we are moving some stuff from the rack.

It's 10pm I'm the only one there moving our stuff out. There is so much stuff I have to recline the passenger seat and rear seats and load stuff from the side Kid sees me loading stuff as he pulls into 100+ empty spots and parks right next to me where I can't open my doors fully and load stuff on the passenger side. This is to save him 6 feet of walking.

I shake my head and call him freakin idiot and that I can't load my stuff and point to the 100 other spots open. It's not a urinal situation but I think common sense would tell him to park one spot over.

I relayed this to a coworker and they said people are so unpredictable and you can't teach common sense so I should shut up and just move the car.

I moved mine, I didn't ask him to move his as I rather rudely told him he was an idiot. Coworkers are all just move the car, you can't explain things to stupid people. But it did feel great to see the shock in his face when I called him a dolt. I'm thinking maybe if someone tells him he'll learn for the next person's sake.

I've been in a situation like that before, I just nicely asked if they would mind moving over a spot since I was loading, and they did no problem. If you start off attacking him, I doubt you'll get as good of a response. Most people are just not paying attention, not going out of their way to be an asshole.

Short for Colorado. As you can tell from the OP, he is moving his stuff out of Colorado because its not cold enough (or too cold) and the people there don't get up early enough (up time). It was an emergency move, and as such, he is having to use his personal vehicle not meant for moving things, hence the need to recline seats, etc.

Well it's not the same situation, but i've had people who steal my spot in a parking lot as I was waiting for it. I confronted one and he backed out and let me in. As I got in, I was thinking he could very well do something to my car later and so I left.

Another time I confronted the guy and he refused to move. You bet I wanted to do something to his car tires and it wasn't because I was chickenshit to approach him in the first place.

Bottom line, you don't leave your car there if someone isn't happy with you parking there (OP did say something to him). Don't screw with someone else's car? The fact that they leave it there afterward is basically saying F you, what are you gonna do?

If he was able to get in the spot in a way that didn't allow you to fully open the door, that implies that the door wasn't fully open (or open at all) when he pulled in.

My guess is that he should have been more observant and seen that you're actively loading/unloading and made the connection that he might be in your way, but based on the above I'm assuming there was no malicious intent.
