Measure it in ounces then you will see a difference.

You're kidding, right?
How exactly is weighing something in cgs units going to produce a different result from weighing something in AE units?

Plus 1 ounce = 28.35 grams. For a change of 1 gram, you will observe a change of .03 ounces. So for any change observed by a typical balance (with precision down to .001g), that's 3.53e-5 ounces of difference, which is basically nothing.

But where can you buy it in bulk, like 10 pounds of so the size of an alternator?

Think you missed the point of my post, but I'll email ya some electricity. Just put the + sides of some old batteries against your monitor face and I'll charge them up for you.

Shouldn't lose any mass, as it's a normal chemical reaction. It changes form but the same amount constituent elements remain.

Unless you've got a fission or fusion battery :p
