Question Am I going to regret this?

So the SO has been bugging me for a new pc. They are an educator, so use a lot of web based applications (usually all open simultaneously), the usual productivity stuff, video and photo editing. The other night after listening to several minutes of passive aggressive complaining about their machine and being a "little bit tipsy" I went to Newegg and ordered:

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) Laptop Memory Model F4-2666C18D-32GRS

The idea is to mount this thing on an adapter plate behind their monitors to reduce desktop clutter.

How badly did I screw up?

All I saw was your quote about living in Minnesnota. That had me scratching my head for a moment. I'm with you on this, I probably screwed up.

The video and photo editing isn't that NUC's strong suit, but it will be fine. You definitely are paying too much for what you are getting though.

Hey guys,

Everything went well. Pretty impressed with the build quality of the NUC and the simplicity of the assembly. Mounting it to the back of the monitor was a breeze and super nice to get the wiring hidden. Somewhat inconvenient is the placement of the ports on the back of the box when mounted to the monitor. It's also not quiet.
