Yes, but Mr. Bean was on TV and his heirs could likely sue the restaurant. txrandom cooked the shellfish himself and has probably passed on by now without legal recourse.

Then again he could be OK. My ex-wife ate bad mussels at the Olive Garden and sadly she survived.
