New Cooler Master XG850 Platinum unit. This unit has a LED readout on the side. The problem is if the PS is installed with the fan facing up the readout faces the internal side panel of the case.

Am I dumb or is Cooler Master?

Because the fan has RGB? Why have RGB if you can’t see it? Turned it over. Guess I am just dumb. :)

Whatever blows up your skirt. IMO, having a PSU "fan up" exposes it to things like screws or other misc. Things getting into it ..plus, it adds heat into the case.

But having the fan blow down to a desk surface less than an inch away really restricts the air flow.

For really good RGB, I like to wrap a 25 foot string of those miniature flashing christmas lights around the case.

Best to leave them plugged into an AC outlet year round. I never have to fiddle with my power supply.

Actually, PSU's exhaust out the back, whether the fan is up or down. It will pull heat FROM the case if facing up.

Fan up is actually the manufacturer recommended mounting if using hybrid/fan less mode.
