Am I dealing with a scammer? Edit: What to do with the scammer?

I was trying to sell something on Craigslist and mentioned that I would accept Paypal...

I received an e-mail from this guy asking me if I could accept BidPay instead. They said that they would offer $500 (I had it listed for $400, the clearly said that they would pay extra). Has anyone here used BidPay before?

Edit: Alright, so yeah, it's pretty obviously a scam. What should I do to this guy?

Repeat after me:

Rule # 1 of buying/selling on the internet .... If you need to ask the question "is this a scam?" IT IS!

Edit: Even without the Bidpay crap, the fact that they offered you $100 more then the asking price should have made it obvious.

I don't think I've ever even gone to Bidpay's website. And why would someone offer MORE than you're asking for an item? It's not an auction, it's a classified ad, that's pretty obvious scamming right there.

3) Finally, and most disturbingly, Jeff was not heard from again. I personally e-mailed him for permission to run his story on ZUG, but after an initial response, I never heard from him again. All of his Web sites have come down, and he is nowhere to be found.
