They want me to pay return shipping on a warranty CRT monitor when their website says...

For CRT Monitors: You will be required to provide a credit card guarantee to secure this shipment (AMEX/MC/VISA/Discover), repackage the failed unit and return it prepaid and insured to Samsung. In the event that the monitor is not returned to Samsung in 21 days, your credit card will be charged for the full amount of the monitor.

They won't budge either. :|

EDIT: URL for policy - http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/nabc...rranty/b2c_warranty_general.jsp?eUser=

Doesn't that say you have to pay the shipping/insurance when you send it to them?

That's the way I read it, too. You have to pay for the shipping and then send it, rather than sending it C.O.D. Sorry.

I made sure with the CSR when I did the Advanced Replacement over the phone. They informed me it would come with a return sticker in the box. Basically take the new monitor out, put the old monitor in the box, tape it up, slap on sticker, call UPS

There's nothing in the box except the monitor. No invoice, no stickers, nothing. Not even taped to the outside, just the UPS sticker to get it to me.

I would intepret that statement to mean the end-user is in fact charged for the shipping cost, and in turn Samsung provides the end-user with an appropriate shipping label for the defective unit (which the end-user has now prepaid for).

contact your CSR, let him know what is going on, if he said that there should be a return sticker in there, then there prolly shoulda been one
