http://knoxville.craigslist.org/cto/3479252193.html

it's been document on prime as having major service (timing belt etc) done just last year...

i need someone to talk me out of this and convince me to wait a year or two for a lower mileage car.

edit: of course there's a high chance it's sold already...

edit 2: craziness worn off now :D

oops, meant to post in garage. and better is subjective. faster, more powerful, cheaper, better handling - yes. but not better imo :D

Damn, that's the price of my Mustang.

Beautiful car, though, I'm guessing a lot of that value is just the carbon wing.

Work was done by someone in Franklin?

Wouldn't touch it with a thousand foot pole.

20yr old car with 178K miles on it for $25,000 -

are you F'in nuts?

You can get into a high-mileage 70K mile C6 for that money.

or $30K for this just because you obviously care about looks & exclusivity more than performance:

It's funny that a 20 year old Honda has a nicer looking interior than a 2005 C6 Corvette. Just shows how pathetic American cars where until the last 5 years or so compared to imports.

Regardless, the value of these cars is heavily inflated because they are hard to come by and are considered collectors at this point.

Pros: Its a freakin NSX!
Kinda slow, wrong colour, interior looks pretty bland, too many miles

Your nuts to buy this.

The guy drops $7k into the motor but can't spend a $170 to fix the A/C? BS

Had the same thought, something doesn't smell right.

I'd pass unless you just have to have an NSX. Not cheap, a lot of miles, and pretty slow. They are gorgeous cars but lack in the horsepower department.

I do have to have one, I've just been getting a bit impatient lately. The real plan is to save up for a nice 1997+ around 40k.

I really don't think miles matter. If you want it, buy it.

It does seem to have an oiled gauze filter though... so that's probably 178k miles of extra dirt.

I'd like to get one of these someday, however when I think about all the little plastic stuff in my 94 integra that is breaking now for no reason it convinces me not to do it.

I can't imagine trying to find replacement parts for a car that was pretty rare back when they were selling them.

I wouldn't buy this one, but NSX's are awesome. People trashing them in this thread invariably know nothing about them.
