Yea, MIDI music is very annoying on web pages. Actually, any music on a web page that plays automaticly is annoying. Espicaly if they have an mp3 or a wav going up there and I can't mute it without muting my mp3s playing. AGHH!

not that i ever download cracks but this one time i was downloading a crack, this page has this lady just talking about her great porn site and you cant turn it off 🙂

That music is even more annoying than when everybody and their frickin dog used make those old frames pages KNOWING THAT THE STANDARD MONITOR SIZE WAS THE FRICKIN 14" AND IT ONLY LEFT YOU WITH WINDOWS THE SIZE OF TWO DIMES LAYING SIDE-BY-SIDE AND YOU HAD TO SCROLL FRICKIN RIGHT AND LEFT AND BACK RIGHT AND BACK LEFT JUST TO READ EM!... GEEZ! I hated those things.

There... I said it... I feel better.

Thanks for the vent thread. 😀

Try this

IE6:
tools-->internet options-->advanced-->uncheck 'play sounds in webpages' under multimedia

Webpages with music have always been annoying, even back in the early days of the 'net it was just uncool to have a midi on your page.
I listen to MP3s and CDs when I am in front of my computer, and my music selection is always better than what some jackass might decide to put on his page.
