Like I said, I was getting calls/test drives at $17,250. But no sale.

That means they probably can't afford it, or you aren't giving them much of a sales pitch. ;)

What's a 2006/2007 go for? It's likely that people just decided that at that price, they might as well toss in an extra couple thousand and get a new one.

If you've got their phone numbers or something, you can always try calling them and asking if they are still interested or why they decided against it. That could answer your question really fast and really wouldn't be out of line or anything.

Have you checked autotrader for what others are going for?

A quick search for me in the Chicago area yielded about 40 different 3s (hatch & sedan) in the 15k-30k mile range for $15,000 or less *list* price.

You will not sell this car for more than $15,000.

Id say, $14,750 would look good. If new costs just shy of 20k$, its hard to buy used for savings of only 2-3k$. A 5k$ margin would seem more reasonable, but I am not in that market, so I really honestly cannot offer a "real" opinion on this matter -- only a "first glance" what I would consider a "good buy".

Autotrader lists 6 Mazda3 cars within 75 miles of my former Atlanta zip code.

2004 Mazda 3i with 42K Miles for $14,500
2006 Mazda 3i with 17K Miles for $15,995
2005 Mazda 3s with 26K Miles for Unlisted
2004 Mazda 3i with 38K Miles for Unlisted
2004 Mazda 3i with Unlisted Mileage for $15,995

Sorry but $16,250 seems fine for what it is considering its condition.

no offense but your ad seems desparate and like you are selling a diamond.

change the last portion to this

This car has never been involved in an accident of any kind

Excellent condition

Original owner

Non smoking car

I just reread the ad, change the end to this and take out half the middle and change the top. The whole thing is a mess, reading it I think man, dealing with this guy is going to be a pain in the ass. Remember you are selling a piece of metal, far from a luxury car.

It's possible and likely those aren't selling either.

If the price was fine, it would have sold already. The market dictates the price, not what the seller thinks it's worth.
