Am I alone in disliking dragging and dropping?

My father who is not very computer savvy drags and drops everything to copy and paste. I hate doing this. It's often very imprecise and you often drag things into the wrong folder or end up moving when you intend to copy etc etc... It leads to sloppy file keeping IMHO. Course my father like most people who aren't computer savvy has never kept track of where things are on his computer leaving that to Apple's spotlight search or Windows search. So sometimes when I go to help him I find his HD is an absolute jungle of files with every revision date imaginable and every file type you can think of all over the place. Probably this can't be blamed on dragging and dropping alone but I do find that it lends one to have a lazy confused view of the file structure on ones computer.

Copy and paste sucks because you have to go back and delete the original files. Cut and paste sucks because sometimes you fuck it up somehow.

Drag and drop is obviously superior to copy/cut and paste. I object the the OP's implicit suggestions that dragging/dropping is for less "savvy" users - what an asshole.

I usually prefer Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C. :)
You can never have too many keyboard shortcuts; programs that are largely restricted to the mouse are annoying.
To use the computer=desktop reference, being restricted to a mouse is like having one hand tied behind your back, and three fingers removed from the remaining hand.

I always use the right mouse button when dragging and dropping in windows explorer for file operations, so that I can confirm its operation and so that I have a second opportunity to confirm the operation before it's completed.

I still prefer the command line, though.
