I don't think we could ever hang out. I'm just fine with the stick up my ass. I don't want to chance having a stick and a knife in there! ;)

You keep your stick to yourself and I will keep my knife to myself :D

I think the next time I'm around them and they want me to open something for them, I will hand them a rock and say go at it...:D

Am I a criminal?

My opinion - no. It feels so much safer with a knife in one of my inner pockets, close to heart. Who knows what might happen... It may be needed. A few years back I used to carry a gas revolver just for the heck of it, but now I prefer to have a knife.

Hmm.. Interesting point. I wonder if they still use traditional metal compasses at school..

They were quite sharp.. I'm surprised we haven't heard of some stabbing using them.. lol

no, but your friend is weird

LOL, right you are.

When I went to pick up my knife from the security guard that took it. He had a couple of others as well. I like it, about a 3" blade handmade job with a horn casing on it. It's not like it was a switchblade or anything.

You mean, 3'' wide or long? If wide... oh, man... that was a freaking sword :D

I think it depends on where you live and how big they are.

When I lived in AZ you could just walk into the store and buy them like a pack of gum.

Here in OR I think only the smaller ones are okay? I don't remember. Once I was shortcutting through a parking lot down by the Capitol and got stopped by an officer. He said something about my butterfly knife but I don't remember what. I think it was just on the edge of being legal because he let me keep it.

I'm not sure what the big deal about them is vs. other types of knives. Some people say they're smaller because they fold into themselves so they're easier to hide. Don't those monster pocket knives do the same thing?!? Maybe it's just because they're so darn easy to whip out an open? I guess that would explain the switchblade issue as well.

Anyway, knives are for criminals! ;)

You would have been a criminal if you snuck the knife in and then stabbed sombody in the game

With all the rediculous zero-tolerance policies regarding school property and weapons it's a wonder you weren't arrested. We had 2 bail bondsmen arrested here in NC for chasing a fleeing criminal onto school property. They were convicted of a felony and lost their livelihood because the felony conviction means they can't carry a firearm anymore.

Haven't you heard? Metal has been deemed illegal. If you don't believe me try getting onto an airplane or into a courthouse :)

(my shoes, which are hiking boots, barely make it through)
