Watching a show of guys that broke out of jail and stole a car. They got pulled over for not wearing their seatbelt and then got caught. They were heading to Mexico and would have successfully escaped otherwise. Seatbelts save lives. 😛
 
I don't think I even start my car unless my seat belt is on. I'm not even going to get into the war stories of people not wearing their seat belts and saying "hello" to the windshield. (or the street if they get the trajectory just right)
 
I've already had my statistical average of one major car accident in my lifetime and it would probably have been particularly irksome if I had not been wearing my seatbelt at the time.

This, and it's such a habit I do it without thinking.

Sometimes I just want to move the car around in my driveway or something and I'll actually put it on because I don't even realize. In a way it's good that it's such a habit because I could go from moving the car to "hey I just remembered I need something" and then drive off.
 
I wish they'd enforce back seat passengers more. I get pissed every single time I am called a pussy for wearing my seat belt in the back seat.

If they enforced this, I guess people would shut the hell up about it. I don't get why people get offended when back seat passengers put on a seatbelt.

In GA, an adult in the back seat isn't legally required to wear it. I do anyway.

I think you should be more concerned with why you are forced to sit in the back seat.
 
31 years as a firefighter/first responder, and responded to far too many fatal wrecks, but have never unbuckled a dead person.

LoL, last time I saw a back seat was when I couldn't drive yet and my buddy's car was packed. Otherwise the furthest I have ever sat was twice in the passenger seat when my girl was driving her car and taking me out.
 
My brother was a terrible driver and was in several accidents. After one particularly gruesome crash where the seatbelt broke a couple of ribs he decided he wasn't going to wear it any more.

His next crash killed him.
