Always hated Star Trek in earlier years but actually enjoyed all 10 movies.

Finally gave it a chance and watched all 10 movies in a 2 week span. Overall I really enjoyed them all. In my younger years I just hated star trek and never liked TNG either.

I was thinking of picking up a few seasons of the original and TNG on dvd but are they anything like the movies?

Actually most of the movies suck comparred to TNG. First Contact being the biggest exception

The best movies I would have to say are:

Star Trek II: The Wrath of KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
Star Trek: First Contact

Star Trek: Generations is also pretty good.

Star Trek I, III, and V were not that good at all.

Star Trek: Insurrection (lulz) was kinda okay. Nemesis sucked.

I = Meh.
II = Pretty good 80's SF movie.
III = FAIL.
IV = Pretty good 80's SF movie.
V = LAME
VI = Kick Ass!
Generations = WTF??!!!
First Contact = Kick (some Borg) ASS!
Insurrection = Who the fuck thought this was a good script? Jesus chris this was pathetic.
Nemesis = I would srsly rather eat a shit steak with vomit gravy than watch this "film" again.


So, yeah, 2 Awsome movies, 2 pretty goods, and a whole lot of fail.

Maybe because I didn't watch the show and thus, had no idea who Kahn was. Nor did I care, the guy was a douche.

I just didn't dig the movie, not sure why. Better then the first but hardly good IMO

OK yea VI was good, it was Star Trek V: The Final Frontier I was thinking of.

The undiscovered country was good, it was V that was my least favorite other then the first one

Yeah I would say out of ALL Trek films, V blew the most chunks. It is HORRIBLE!

Final Frontier sucked ass horribly. III was fun and I was...well, the first. I saw it in theaters so I was more impressed with it simply because it was kind of epic compared to the series. The theaters were jam packed to see that movie too. I would agree on The Wrath of Khan. I also enjoyed TNG series and movies.

Wow... Star Trek II was the best of them all... its an epic battle between a superior bad guy and a experienced aging admiral kirk. its like a galactic chess match, and what star trek should have been... Starship wars rather than exploration and kirk kissing women.

Star Trek 4 was well recieved because it was more light hearted with still a excellent plot and it was just after the challenger explosion.

Star Trek 6 was actually again one of the best... aside from not having the same composer as the previous movies... returned to the roots of Khan and again had a plot and battle of epic proportions.


TNG was a snooze because other than the few nice episodes with the borg... basically became Star Trek the pussified generation. GAG! IMO Voyager was much better because there was at least a plot and something at stake.
