Aluminum foil good for replacement for anti-static bags?

Well Iam getting different opinions, such as foil could blow a capacitor or something. I wish there was a pc store around here.

First I sprinkle the mobo with iron particulate and give it a little dash of thermal paste. And wrapped the whole gizmo with high grade aluminum foil attached to AA batteries via copper wire. Now you're set :thumbsup:

Not really in the mood for the humor, but w/e. Thnx for the help. I guess ill take my chance with newspaper.

I hope your not joking... But I leave tommorow and have no choice. I do have a anti static bag, but its sligtly too small. If i cut it and just like slide it in, but everything wont be covered by the bag. Could I patially cover it and just put it in a white box that I bought from staples. Or could I put the bag and newpapers together? Or just newspaper.

I'll be more worried about the mobo being crushed during transit. Do whatever you can with the materials you have on hand.

Well its a iam bringing it as a carryon and it should be fine. Just hope they dont think its like a weapon or something.
